Important information for customers who pay Difrent by Centrepay

Rental companies are being removed from the Centrepay service in 2026.

If you currently use Centrepay to pay Difrent Rental, it is important that we speak with you about this change, as it will affect how you pay us.

Please call us on 1300 225 228 during our opening hours so that we can help you change to a new payment method.

What's changing and what you need to do

Services Australia (Centrelink) has decided to remove rental companies from the Centrepay service. This change will come into effect on 1 November 2026.

If you currently pay Difrent by Centrepay, you’ll need to switch to another payment method before that date. Available options include direct debit, bank transfer, or debit/credit card payment.

We’ll do our best to contact affected customers before 1 November 2026 using the most up-to-date contact details we have on file. We may try to reach you by phone, email, or SMS.

If you know you’re affected, you do not need to wait for us to call you. Please get in touch as soon as you can by calling 1300 225 228 during our opening hours.

When we speak with you, we’ll discuss the available payment options and help you set up the one that works best for you.

Why it's important we speak with you

It's very important that we speak with you before 1 November 2026. If we're unable to speak with you by that date to change your payment method then your account will fall into arrears.

We understand that you may not be available when we first try to contact you. If that happens, please return our call, send us a message, or email us as soon as possible.
